About

What art therapy is

Art therapy uses drawing, painting, collage and other art-making within a therapeutic relationship. It can help people explore feelings, make sense of change and loss, and build wellbeing. No art experience is needed; the focus is on the process, not the finished piece.

Art therapy can help with

  • Expressing feelings that are hard to put into words
  • Grief, loss and life changes
  • Stress, anxiety and low mood
  • Living with illness, disability or memory changes
  • Creativity, confidence and social connection

Who provides art therapy?

Sessions are provided by an ANZACATA-registered art therapist.
